Chris Cheatley, Joint managing director
Prior to founding Corporate Leaders Network, a boutique, senior level, network principally for the most senior executives working for listed and private companies and non-executive directors, Chris was the Joint Managing Director and co-founder of CEO Forum Group.
CEO Forum Group, established in 1989, provided a high-level briefing service, senior network and support in streamed programs to the CEOs, CFOs and HR Directors of the local Australian arm of over 400 leading global MNCs, servicing over 700 senior executives. In 2015, Chris and his business partner, James O’Toole, sold CEO Forum Group to the Washington-based Corporate Executive Board (now part of the global Gartner Group).
Prior to co-founding CEO Forum Group, Chris worked with Business International Australia, the Australian affiliate of the highly regarded global newspaper organization, the London-based Economist Group. In this role he provided regular analysis of the Australian economic, political and business operating environments to the global publishing program of The Economist Intelligence Unit and Business International. Chris previously worked with the leading membership-based business group, the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA), initially in a research role, focusing on projects exploring issues such as taxation policy, national trade strategy and business regulatory policy. He became Executive Director of CEDA, responsible for CEDA’s membership operations and program across Victoria, SA, WA and Tasmania. More broadly in his various roles with CEDA, he worked closely with senior government figures, trade union leaders and business leaders on programs to examine the major economic development issues facing Australia.
Chris holds an Honours Degree in Arts (Political Science) and an MBA from Monash University
Richard Lindell, Joint Managing Director
Prior to joining Corporate Leaders Network, Richard was the Director of the International CEO Forum from 2015 to 2018. As part of CEB and later Gartner, the Forum provided a high level program and peer support network to 350 CEOs leading the Australian subsidiary of multinational organisations.
Richard has extensive experience in media and journalism having worked for 15 years with some of Australia’s leading news and current affairs programs at the ABC, SBS and Sky News. As an Executive Producer, he led the design and development of new programs and was a founding Executive Producer at ABC News 24. As a senior journalist, Richard reported for the ABC’s suite of news and current affairs programs, including AM, PM and 730 and also served as the ABC’s India Correspondent.
In addition to his role at Corporate Leaders Network, Richard is a non-executive director at Softball Australia.
Richard has a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of NSW and a Graduate Diploma in Journalism from UTS. He is also a member of the AICD.
Sacha Albert, Client Services Director
Sacha has extensive experience building and nurturing senior executive networks. During five years with CEO Forum Group she organised major government forums in Australia and New Zealand that placed key policy and political decision-makers in front of foreign investor CEOs, in addition to managing a comprehensive program of executive retreats, professional networking lunches and business briefings. She has managed projects across a range of industries and has a passion for connecting people, broadening thinking and encouraging learning through exposure to influential business figures, innovators, creative thinkers and thought leaders.
Sue Moran, Membership Director
Sue is a professional and resourceful individual, with 20+ years’ experience providing comprehensive operational support to C-suite and senior managers. Prior to joining CLN, Sue worked for 10 years with Chris Cheatley and later Richard Lindell at CEO Forum Group, where she undertook a number of key roles including assisting with the management of a professional development network for CEOs of MNCs operating in Australia, as well as running a sub-network for their Executive Assistants. During her last 5 years with the Forum, Sue was instrumental in identifying, qualifying and securing prospective members and utilised her highly developed communication skills to manage the health of member relationships by encouraging engagement and active participation in the network.
